Fortnite Battle Pass Season 5 – Everything you need to know

Fortnite Season 5 Battle Pass

Fortnite season 5 just started and considered as one of the biggest since the launch.  In addition to new map locations and historical and viking themed skins coming out, we are already surprised by Epic Games’ economics and Battle Pass pricing structure.

“The more you play, the more rewards you earn”

this season’s battle pass is similar to the previous one, but not limited to three months to be finished, so can be completed any time. Also, Fortnite introduced Toys, to have more fun with your squad on the starting island.

Fortnite Battle Pass Season 5

First, let’s break down the free version of Battle Pass. Throughout hitting level 10 you’re getting a free Spray, Emoticon, Loading screen and the actual Emote. Next 10 level milestone is worth around 300 V-Bucks with one Banner Icon, free 100 V-Bucks, and Epic Back Bling. And by the end of Free Battle Pass for Season 5, you’ll receive a free glider plus lug axe, another Back piece with additional hundred v bucks, two sprays, one emoticon in addition to an emote and glitch contrail. Again, that’s what you’re getting if you don’t want to spend your money but playing the game and hitting level 100 (Estimate time – 90 – 100 hours of playing).

Now moving to the actual Season 5 Battle Pass that costs 9.99$ (9.99€ for EU) – a great investment to essentially boost your account. If you don’t buy Tiers to get rewards faster – you will 100% get your V-Bucks back. Unlike PUBG Sanhok pass, with your purchase, you’ll receive a bunch of items immediately, such as Epic + Legendary skins, Personal and Party XP boost and X5 Free tiers to get going. By hitting level 50 besides a few sprays/emoticons/banners and emotes you’ll get two Epic Skins plus Epic Glider and 600 V-Bucks which more than 60% pass price since you’re finishing Free one at the same time. And in the end, if you manage to hit level 100, your account will be rewarded with overall 1300 V-Bucks, Epic Rook, Sledgehammer and Legendary Ragnarok skins with a bunch of emotes and other cosmetic rewards.

Our Thoughts

Are Epic Games basically giving away 1300 V-Bucks? Yes, If you’re really good at saving money to buy next season’s Battle Pass, but other 99% of players including us will spend them on new skins, tiers, and various additions. But still, new Fortnite Season 5 Battle Pass is a great investment and probably one of the best on the current market.
